Stewart Street Art Project

Stewart St, Richmond, Melbourne

Through our website, Creative Suburbs gathered support from local residents and businesses to continue the existing artwork on the Richmond train station back entry walls on Stewart Street in Richmond. Working with Metro Trains and the City of Yarra, Creative Suburbs facilitated the design and painting of three large concrete panels by three local street artists.

This improved the visual aesthetics of the train station, bringing together diverse groups of people in a way that built social cohesion and perceived safety.
